| Biography: Self Taught, God blessed talent, that with practice and books,have been able to make a career in art. I do portraits, landscapes, seascapes, wildlife and domestic life, plus murals.
Media: Acrylic, watercolor, soft pastels and pencil
Specialty is murals for Children's hospitals, and Pediatric areas of Health facilities. Have done numerous children's bedrooms, ie; Celestial room in dark blue with all the planets and a comet soaring on the ceiling and hundreds of glow in the dark stars. Above and below the water with sea life , sandy beach with palm trees, parrot sand castle and open mouthed shark jumping out of the water (that is what the little boy wanted).
Major portion of my work is painted on wood that is cut out the shape of the design and it gives it a 3-d look. These can be done in my studio and shipped anywhere in the world. They can also be sculpted in a relief to make them more realistic.
Clients: Shriner's Hospital for Children, Lexington, Ky.(have done work for them since 1986) 15 clinic rooms, two ten foot wide paintings, in Orthopaedics, three wooden Circus trains on painted circus train thems wall of 200 foot hall to surgery, with entry doors to surgery being the "Big Top" with mural painted on them. Main entrance and staff entrance have a "Welcome" mural.Several other murals thru-out the facility, plus art work adorns the halls and embellishes the signage.
Kosair Children's Hospital , Louisville, Ky Iccu Neonatal and Burn unit. I painted the treatment tub to look like a big sail boat with sterring wheel and sea gull mobiles hanging from the ceiling.
