 | Biography: Ruthellen Kellogg, owner of Waxing Moon Batik Studio (http://www.waxingmoonbatik.com) does original fine art batik paintings on cotton, silk and japanese rice paper. She also has a line of original batik design celtic tee shirts at BatikShirtShop (http://www.bss.com).
Her batik style is extremely detailed - using multiple contemporary and traditional batik techniques in her pieces. Her subject matter ranges from landscapes and nature subjects to celtic imagery and fantasy. Her batik shirts have witch, fairy, dragon and celtic knot themes as well as others.
Many paintings are framed and matted under glass, others are framed but unmatted with no glass, like a canvas paintings. Prints are available matted and framed or shrinkwrapped for your choice of framing.
