Katherine Taylor-Green
| Biography: I have been drawing and painting most of my life, but didn't market it until my daughters were grown and gone to lives of their own. I am a self taught artist. My education comes from workshops, books, and lots of painting! My favorite medium is pastel, and the world of animals and nature, my passion. The power and grace of an arabian horse, the cool level gaze of a wolf, the exuberance of puppies at play, all move me as other subjects haven't. While some of my backgrounds are loosely done, my subjects are realistic. The eyes are most important, so I work close up, giving the viewer a glimpse into the animals personality. This is something you can't catch with the animal in the landscape!
As a firm believer in wildlife conservation, I want my work to make a difference. I support several conservation groups, including Wolf Park, a wolf study facility in Battle Ground, In.
