David Amis
 | Biography: I've been interested in art from the earliest years of my life. My early work featured a variety of media and ranged from realistic to abstract experimentation.
However, I haven't picked up a pen, pencil or brush for a number of years now. Photography is now the main focus of my work. The recent acquisition of a digital camera has pushed my work in a new direction, enabling me to digitally manipulate many of the images that I shoot.
As for subject matter, there is a theme of desolation running through much, though not all, of my work. Bleak marshes and coastal scenes, abandoned burnt out cars and urban dereliction are some of the themes I have dealt with in some hard edged work.
