 | Biography: At this point Mr. OLIVENCIA started to paint because he was fascinatd by Europe as a new world to
explore with its exuberant alchemy of colors. The love he has for Klimt's art the prerahealites, the
art deco movement, miniatures, and the realism of American art shows through in his painting. He
works with gouache and sometimes gold powder pigment, to achieve the translucency needed in his

Louis Olivencia nato a New York, una scelta significative ed esaustiva di questo artista consapevolmente poliedrico che coltiva, accanto all’attivita di stilista è creatore di tessuti, la passione per una pittura. Olivencia si è formato in due scuole di grande prestigio come la School of Art & Design è la Parsone School of Design. Nel 1977 si è trasferito a Berlino dove ha lavorato, oltre che nel settore dello stilismo, nella creazione di costumi teatrali per alcune opere di Fassbinder. Successivamente, l’italia ( prima Firenze è subito dopo Ferrara dove si è stabilito). Resta fortissima la passione per la pittura e la scultura, in una ricerca espressiva inesausta dove anche i materiale assumono una loro cifra particolarissima.
