| Simon Kontarge was born in Tashkent (capital of Uzbekistan). Kontarge immigrated in Israel in 1991 and from 1997. He participated in several solo and group exhibitions in Israel and USA. For the period 2000-2003 the artist participated in design and d?cor of the Silver Spring Jewish center. The project includes more than 14 paintings and murals. The art of Shimon Kontarge includes different genres and styles such as realist portraits made in classical Italian manner, impressionist landscapes, psychological surrealism and also colorful mosaic murals.
