| Erik Suidman started painting in 1992 but only recently caught the public eye. His works are often unintentionally provocative, his palette is blend and grimy, and his themes unchangeably dark. Mankind is his subject matter, but the emphasis lies on despair and decay, and never on the aesthetic side of this matter. His most recent works however seem slightly brighter, but even then sorrow lurks in the background. |
